Amorim insists that Dalot cannot be relied upon to play every minute of every game, and is mindful of protecting his fitness as the season progresses. The Portugal international has been a key player this season, and has yet to miss a single minute in the Premier League. Amorim, though, benched Dalot against Bodo/Glimt, the first time he has not started a game this term.

While Dalot did come off the bench in Thursday's encounter, which United won 3-2, Amorim has explained that he intends to keep rotating Dalot in and out of the team. His back-three formation requires two wing-backs and Antony was deployed on the right in midweek.
WHAT AMORIM SAID
Amorim told reporters: "He’s very powerful. We have to rotate him sometimes because although he always looks fresh, it’s not like that, he’s not a machine. He’s a very good player. He’s better on the right and we will play him there more [but] nowadays a player who can play on both sides is perfect because you can put him in different positions.
"I expect the same as you saw last season. A great player who can help the team. He's really a team player, you can feel it in the way he lives the game, so he’s very important for us."
