The stars needed to perfectly align for Leeds to sign target Che Adams this month.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has said that it would be difficult for him to let him leave on loan, The Athletic’s Saints correspondent stated that a deal is very unlikely and Phil Hay has claimed that the south coast club would have to sign a striker before the attacker is allowed to leave the club.

Fortunately, Hasenhuttl’s side are reportedly interested in a forward by the name of Tino Kadewere.
Mundo Deportivo reported Real Valladolid’s interest in the Ligue 2 hitman, and they state that Southampton are among the Premier League teams interested in his signature.
Now, at this stage, it’s hard to say that it’s likely we’re going to see Kadewere holding up a red and white shirt in the coming days, but this is could certainly be a lifeline for Leeds’ pursuit of Adams.
Even if Southampton don’t land the 23-year-old, this report shows that they are in the market for a striker, and if they land one, Leeds may finally be able to make their move for the former Birmingham City man.
It’s a deal they could do with making as well. They’ve been left incredibly short up top after Eddie Nketiah was recalled by Arsenal.
Following Leeds’ bad luck last January when attempting to sign Daniel James from Swansea, the Whites really are due some good fortune, and this may be it.
Before this development broke it looked unlikely that Leeds would ever sign Adams, but now there may be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for the Elland Road outfit when it comes to potentially landing the attacker.
In other news, one Leeds man’s recent performance proved they still need to strengthen one key area.
