It’s no secret that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the most admired sides in the Premier League.
Having come on leaps and bounds over the last two or three seasons since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino, it’s not just the style of play that leaves people feeling enamoured with Spurs. It’s also how they’ve gone about building their team.
With a world-class striker like Harry Kane coming through the ranks of their own youth system, and the likes of Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Danny Rose and even the now-departed Kyle Walker all learning their trade at White Hart Lane and now Wembley, anyone who supports the English national team will also be praying for Spurs to be in good form going into a World Cup year.
We all know just how good they are, and although it’s a team game – played with a particularly strong team ethic at Spurs under their Argentine boss – there are always players who stand out. And former boss Harry Redknapp has singled a few out for very high praise indeed.
