According to reports on ESPNFC, Leeds United are hoping to appoint Claudio Ranieri as Garry Monk’s successor this summer.
The Yorkshire outfit announced earlier this week that the 38-year-old had surprisingly resigned after failing to agree terms with new owner Andrea Radrizzani over a new contract, meaning the Whites are once again looking for a new manager.
Having narrowly missed out on finishing in the play-off positions this season under Monk – who only signed an initial 12-month rolling contract last summer – they are keen to bring in a high-profile coach and they believe Ranieri is the man.
The Italian won the Premier League title with Leicester City only a year ago and he is current available having been sacked by the Foxes earlier in the campaign.
Leeds supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and they are divided on whether the 65-year-old would be a good appointment.
