Pre-season games give fans a chance to get glimpses of their new signings before the hard work gets underway.
One player who Leeds United supporters have been keeping a close eye on is Ezgjan Alioski.
The versatile player moved to Elland Road from Lugano earlier this month, and is one of seven new faces brought in by manager Thomas Christiansen.
On Sunday, Alioski caught the eye when he came on in the second half with Leeds already 3-0 down to Eibar in their friendly in Austria.
The Championship club were dominated in the first 45 minutes, but they put on a better display after the break, with Alioski getting on the scoresheet.
Chris Wood also found the back of the net and the match eventually ended 4-2 to Eibar.
Results mean very little in pre-season, and even though conceding four goals is never ideal, the fans were happy with Alioski’s contribution.
Some supporters are feeling very optimistic about the 25-year-old ahead of the new season.
